Aisle A1, handguns, gets a new CZ this season. The DUTY 4.0 is CZ's next striker-fired 9x19mm, and it arrives as a family of four: C compact, F full-size, and MS versions of each with a manual thumb safety. The frame is fiberglass-reinforced polymer, the serialized part is a modular internal chassis, and the slide is direct-mount optics-ready with fixed sights.

The C is the short-grip frame. It stands 135 mm (5.3 in) tall, weighs 770 g (27.2 oz) unloaded and carries 15+1 rounds of 9mm, or 17+1 once the extended floor plate is fitted. Short enough to hide under a shirt, long enough to get every finger on the grip.

A external safety is the one thing that separates this model from its sibling. It sits beside the three automatic safeties, firing pin block, trigger safety and drawbar safety, and does not change the trigger pull.

Under the DUTY name sits a serial-numbered modular chassis, a 33 mm (1.3 in) wide fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame, a 102 mm barrel and a trigger CZ rates at 25 ± 4 N (5.6 ± 0.9 lbs) with a 4 mm (0.16 in) reset. The slide is optics-ready by direct mount rather than an adapter plate. Fixed sights come standard, and the barrel is not threaded.

Best fit: concealed carry where your state allows it, home defense, and range time that does not need a service-size grip. Shooters coming from a CZ 75 will recognize the grip angle; shooters coming from any other striker gun will notice the trigger first.
